    Replacement slip on for SV650

I could use some input from those experienced on which slip on will be a better solution to my current GEN2 SV650 exhaust. I've got a Devil high mount (looks like a Yoshi RS-3 oval) which is lite and (so far) seems to crash well. It doesn't look like they're imported anymore and the PO lost the DB killer insert. While not as loud as some bikes at the track I'd like to tone it down a bit. My issue is most manufactures don't list the dB the pipes put out and Youtube tests are of questionable value as they don't have a consistent means of measuring or comparing the noise output.

The price on most bigger name slip ons seems about $270-$300. The cheapo stuff (DanMoto, Delkevic, etc.) looks to be about $150-$200. Neither is going to break the bank so the main issue for me is noise.

    I'm looking at:
    Yoshi RS-3
    M4
    Akrapovic

    Delkavic
    DanMoto

    Considerations:
    - not sure if the 14" exhausts too loud (most of the big names seem to be around 18")
    - finding an insert for my Devil pipe or modifying one from another design

Are any of the pipes listed above too loud?

    Thanks for the input.

I have an M4 slip-on for my second gen SV. I think it sounds nice, def is not too loud. I've used the bike for street and track.

Though that being said, I'd rather have a full system.

My SV race-bike has a Yoshi RS-3 system. I think it sounds fuggin' fantastic.
"Too" loud is likely a relative thing. I haven't failed any sound tests that I know of. (Although I don't think I've ever been tested.)
    There are louder.

I've been leaning toward either the M4 or the Akrapovic as they seem a bit shorter than the Yoshi. Thinking about it now and looking at the damage done to slip ons from a crash I guess if the bike has landed such that the exhaust tip gets hit they'll be more to worry about than the slip on.

As much as a full system would be nice I'm positive any extra performance would be wasted on me. Now if the full system could help me repeatably hit the same turn and braking points instead of "kind of" the same points I'd be all over it. Until then I'll just have to live with the fact I need to practice!
