    Rotella-T on Duc 2V

I've been hearing and reading many good things about Rotella oil in bikes on WERA forums and many other places.

Before I take the plungle, I wanted to see if anyone on here has any Ducati 2 valve experience with it that they could share.

    Thanks!

Which Rotella? 5W-40 synthetic, or the 15w-40 dino?

I have heard great things as well. Never used it but heard great things. Cheap too.

+1, lots of debates on various forums with no definitive answer. Myself I'm too concerned about any potential tranny issues from not using motorcycle specific oil, so i'm sticking with the $60 oil/filter change(just did it last night , ready to ride this weekend).

I use the 15w40 dino on my SV and it's been great so far. Nicer shift feel than the OEM Suzuki oil.

This question posted by the kid with a half a case of Rock Oil's top-o-the-line synthetic in the garage.

Now is that a Bimmer, or a Beemer?

Rotella-T seems to get alot of love!

I was always just a little hesitant as Ducati recommends 20w oil in the air cooled bikes.

As Scott has said, I've used RockOil, but hey, that's pricey!

I run it in my ST2, no issues. Found out about it on the SVRider forum, lots of Rotella fans there.

I put it in my R1 last spring and have no regrets. I did a fair amount of online research before buying and couln't find any real downsides. Walmart sells the 5W-40 Rotella T synthetic by the gallon at cheap price.
