remove front blinkers 02 r6

Getting ready to install my new frame sliders. How do the front blinkers come off??? dont want to break anything so i figured i would post up and see whats up.

I "think" on the fronts, there's a hole on the inside of the cowling that you can slip a screwdriver in, unscrew the screw that holds the metal backing plate on, remove the plate, push out on the little fingers that grip the cowling and it should pop out
