Shop rate for valve adjustment?

What's a good ball park price for this?

Why not just do it yourself, its kinda time consuming, but not difficult. Also that way you know exactly what every valve is set to and not relying on someone possibly saying "its close enough"

If I pay a shop to do it, that affords me accountability. I'm friendly with the local bike shop and id trust them.

Sounds like he doesn't want to do it himself and make sure it's done right, we all have jobs that personally feel best left to a professional. I do since things and some things I say fuck it not worth my time and aggregation and pay someone else to do it.

That is for checking it only, I believe. Price doesn't include swapping out shims if adjustments are needed.

I got quoted 400 bucks-with shims...I'm gonna do it this fall...afraid I'd screw it up.
