    Turn signal bulb

The bulb stopped work...just replace it, simple right?

    Here's the bulb

I've been to 2 autoparts store, and 2 motorcycle dealers. All 4 stated that they have never seen that type of base before.

It came off a 1990 Yamaha FZR600. Apparently the bulb (and hence the signals) aren't stock, the fiche indicates a bulb that does not match. The signals look stock to me, but one of the guys at the bike dealer said it looks a little smaller/sleeker than stock.

Bulb info (writing on the base)
    Michiba
    12V 21W
    E13 2C3 (or 2E3)

I googled it up, not much info, except some guy in NZ/Australia with a Ducati has the same problem.

Anybody seen this type of bulb before? Know where to find a replacement?

    My other possibilities are:
    b. get a bulb that has the same size base and sand off the nub.
    c. get a new set of signals

Evidently finding the right bulb would be the easiest solution, so thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: Turn signal bulb

looks to be a bulb from an aftermarket "OEM" type turn signal. Bulbs are damn near impossible to get for some unknown reason, main reason for that is because its a European based bulb thats why the pins are offset, US based equivalent pins are 180 degree's from each other. You can use US based bulb and grind one "nub" off and it'll work assuming wattage is the same.

If i were you i'd just go get a pair of new signals for about 15-20bucks and call it a day.

Get a set of Lockhart-Philips and then get the bulbs by the dozen.
