    Slipper clutch install-- SV650

Is it pretty straight forward? I've never done a clutch and just wondering if any one had any tips.

I did a track day in the wet and a slipper is a must for next year.

A slipper clutch will do nothing for riding in the rain.....its so your rear doesn't lock up on hard down shift allowing the clutch to slip instead of the rear locking up and chattering...matching rear tire speed with revs will help on the decell but not completely help...FYI before you spend $$$

Ya, spare wheels with rain tires is what you need...

Thanks for the advice. I have a slipper on my Ducati and I'm use to that ... I'm a late braking/down shifter corner type guy.

Lol, No one answered your question. From what I understand they are very easy to install. Clutches are dead simple.

1st gen or 2nd gen? I have a yoyodyne in my 1st gen. Install was fairly simple with a few measurements to take to verify dimensions. Zero adjustment was required for mine; measurements were dead on. Depending on which brand of slipper clutch you get determines what you need for springs and clutch plates. Make sure you get a new gasket for the clutch housing too.

I'm not sure about the SV, but the install in my 916 was easy. Just check the measurements and its a piece of cake.

I did have to make an adjustment after a test ride though because it couldn't get the damn thing into neutral very easily.
