Please post why so I can:

    A. Learn from his mistake
    B. Not do that myself
    and
    C. Mock him

I've got an M10x1.25 tap but the only insertion tools I have are M10x1.5 and 3/8-16. You just use a punch to break of the tang. Any reason you have to use an M10x1.25 bolt? I've got M10x1.5 inserts you can have.

You do know that a Heli-coil M10x1.25 tap is much bigger than an actual M10x1.25 tap, right?

(Actually, you're probably going about it the right away, plenty of track experience first.)

And yes, the Helicoil has already been ordered for an M10 1.25 bolt, so I will need the correct tap for it.

Can you two just ignore each other and spare the rest of us?

Sorry to hear that Jim, I know how tough it is.

Gotcha. As far as I know, it's a special tap so you need a heli-coil M10x1.25 tap. Sorry, I don't have that. Offer still stands on the M10x1.5 stuff though. I have all you that you'd need.

Thanks stoinky. It's going in my frame slider bolt, so I'd rather not change the thread pitch.
