How do these spark plugs look?

I can obviously tell the difference between erroding, oil fouled, and melting but I can never tell the difference between black, tan, light grey for how a normal plug should look. I think spark plugs can be any of those colors depending where you look. These are probably fine, they only have about 15k miles on the original plugs, but thought I would get some second opinions before I put them back in.

I'm no expert on plugs and can generally tell the general condition as well, however with the past few bikes I've owned and the amount of shit it takes just to get to the spark plugs, at 15k if I'm questioning whether or not to replace them I would just do it. Might as well spend the $20 now while everything is apart.

Derek, I posted 4 pics but maybe you can't see them on WAP.

Doing a quick search online people are saying that they can go 25k+ miles (one guy says he got 40k) on iridium plugs. I might just pick up some and forget looking at them for a while unless the bike is running poorly. I find it interesting how the suzuki manual says to replace every 7k and inspect every 4k. Do they really think the engine is going to eat plugs every 7k miles? Seems overkill. Unless it's another lawyer cover their ass thing.

They all look pretty good, IMO.

Not tan (which suggests a lean condition or excessive heat) and not black (which suggests a rich condition or burning oil)

    pretty much perfect condition.
assuming the gap is right, reinstall to proper torque and run 'em

I'm going to be the wierdo, if you're running pump gas, I'm going to say they look a touch rich. Between the ethanol and other agents in the gas, they should be lighter on the insulators. 'course these weren't pulled in the heat of the moment in a plug chop so...

Color transition on the electrode is consistent across all 4, insulator (what I can see) looks consistent, run it?

Re: How do these spark plugs look?

Thanks for the replies guys. I just checked the gap and tossed them back in.

They weren't pulled while holding the clutch and cutting the ignition and also I ran some stabil through the engine before I stored it for the winter so I'm sure that can't help the color.
