F2 rear rim swaps into SV..?

Hello all... I am selling my F2 rear rim and in the course of trying to appeal to as many people as possible... I am curious to know if a F2 rim will fit in an SV..?

I know the F3 rear wheel will almost directly swap right in and the only difference between the f2 and f3 is the actual rim width.. 4.5" vs 5", the cush, hub and axle dia are all the same...

So I know that an F3 rear rim will swap directly into an F2... and if thats possible then the F2 rim should be able to swap into an SV..? am I correct on this..?

    thanks!

    Kaz

that is a good assumption but for an SV person all that would allow is a 170 instead of a 160. most usually move up to the F3 wheel so they can run a 180

interesting... I thought alot of people race SVs because of the reduced cost of running the bigger tires... ie 160 instead of the 180.. am I wrong in this..?

Back when I was racing, the 180's were often cheaper than the 160's simply because they were more popular and the tire guys were more willing to cut deals on them. I ran 160's and never got any deals - not to mention the smaller selection of compounds..

It's not so much the cost of the individual tires themselves, it's the rate at which you go through them. SV's are easier on tires than more powerful bikes thus whatever tires you buy last longer than they would on a 600 or whatever.
