    Stainless Steel Brake Line

Even after an extensive brake bleeding, my brakes are feeling pretty mushy. And with the single caliber/rotor front on the Seca II, I need something a little bit more confidence inspiring.

I can get a $50 SS Galfer line from KneeDraggers - will I notice that much of a difference in braking performance? I hear yes from people all the time, but my Dad (who has a 2001 roadstar silverado) said it did very little if not nothing at all - clearly a sportbike's a bit different in the braking department so I thought I'd ask first.

For the "Too Long; Didn't Read" Crowd: SS Brake lines - worth the loot?

What shape are the pads in? If they are relatively new, and the brakes still don't feel right then the steel lines will definitely make the lever stiffer. It is a little different, but I put a set in my BMW and it woke the brakes right up. Hope this helps.

I hear they are great. Never felt I needed them though.

A mildly warped rotor will also give a mushy feel. May want to look into putting a dial indicator on the rotor. They can be bent back into shape.

When you bled them, did you bleed 'from the top' too? Air bubbles get stuck up top.

I put SS braided lines on my bike. The brake feel is just linear, and never supprises me. Do I need them? Probably not, but mod feever was in full force and I couldn't pass up a group purchace
