This is likely a stupid question, but I've probably owned 100 vintage bikes and somehow managed to avoid repairing a starter clutch...until now (and now I have two to do!).

I'm repairing the starter clutch on my '83 CB1000. I don't know what these pieces are, but they look like they're about to punch through the clutch. I'm assuming the clutch needs to be replaced, but can someone confirm for me?
