Suzuki Recall Authorized Places

    Suzuki Recall Authorized Places

I got my recall for Master cylinder on my 1000.
I do not want to bring my bike at Motorsports International in Auburn.
Is there anyone here around central MA that can benefit from this?

Recall jobs like this aren't much of a benefit for the dealer

I figured they get paid from Suzuki.
Well in that case where should I bring it since I still don't wanna deal with M.I.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about MotorSports Nation down in Ct, probably 35 minutes south of Worcester just off I-395

Suzuki does pay the dealer to do the work, it's just some ridiculously low flat rate amount.

    Re: Suzuki Recall Authorized Places

Just curious, what's the issue with Motorsports? I've had work done there and always had a pretty decent experience. However the last time I did get any service done there was about 5 years ago. I was hoping to go back there when I end up needing anything this coming season but if they've declined as of late I'd like to know.

I don't want to get into specifics but 2 bad customer service experience as far as treatment/politeness and also got my bike back with a scratch clearly from a boot after a typical state inspection which they denied it happened. That was 4 years ago when I originally bought the bike and it was completely stock.

I assume justin / adrenaline doesn't classify as a dealer correct?

Thank you for the suggestion Mark. I'm trying to do this as a one day thing. call them, set it up, ride the bike there hang out for a bit and ride back.

these questions have been answered a dozen times. No, you cannot go to a bike shop like Adrenaline Cycles. You have to go to an authorized Suzuki dealership. No, you cant bring your race bikes to the dealer to get a free master cylinder. It needs to be registered. No you cant just bring them the part and expect to have a replacement part in your hand.

If it still has the original master cylinder in place, I can't imagine that they can really deny you. You're not trying to bring it in for a warranty claim on something that has been "abused", it's the company doing a recall on something that was defective from the factory.

If the race bike still has a title and valid vin on it somewhere, I'd imagine that would be enough...

If it has a VIN that falls under the Recall you can get it replaced......Arbo had his race bike allready done.

    ya me too..
I dont want anyone touching my bike.. you should be able to get the part and bring back the old one.
that said, if you know someone at a suzuki dealer whos willing to help, theres no reason why u cant do it yourself.
    furthermore, the dealer gets paid...
but I assume no one is gonna stick thier neck out ...
i dont want someone who doesnt care, to replace my master..
i do all the work on my bike..

Lawyers made it so they have to, just check it when you get home. No biggie.

Tons of club racers out west were having their stock master cylinders replaced through this recall...

    Re: Suzuki Recall Authorized Places

Mine needs it but I dont feel like bringing the bike to a dealer and waiting 3 weeks for a part to be replaced which I can do in an hour or two of my time. I don't live near any Suzuki dealerships so it make this a royal pain in the ass.

I mean, have them install then check it when you get home. Hell, if you're that OCD - take it all apart, clean it, bleed it then reinstall for piece of mind.
