    Tire Maintenance

I was just wondering if there is any special trick any of you use to take care of your tires after going on dirt or muddy roads et c. I have a pretty long dirt/gravel driveway and always end up starting my rides with muddy tires on my gixxer. I usually try to just spin them a bit and get it off but was wondering if theres anything else that I could do?

    Tire Maintenance

Once I find clean pavement, I slow down and carefully weave back and forth for a little bit to get the dirt off.

.... they're tires... unless you're wraping them in tire warmers & plugging them in w/o wiping off the dirt it isn't gonna hurt em.

I first do a nice 5th or 6th gear burnout to clean off the rear. Then I usually roll a couple of 500 or so foot stoppies to really get the front up to temp.

I carry a toothbrush and some spray tire clean, works great and keeps them looking nice and black. It's a pain in the balls on a dirtbike though, I spend half my day cleaning the tires rather than riding... there's so much dirt in the woods

I usually ride way in front of everyone and carry a can of tire shine and a detail brush. That way each time we stop to pose I whip it out and shine up real quick, before anyone shows up. That way my tires look MINT. The chicks really dig it!
