    tire plug kit?

true to form, I bought a Progressive Suspension kit as a precaution shortly after I got the Kat. for the 2nd time, I've collected a nail (does Bridgestone use a magnetic compound for the BT020? ) in the back tire, and have *attempted* to plug it. while I bought the Progressive kit 'cuz the hype was good & it looked very simple to use, I'm wondering whether part of my problem-- in addition to klutziness-- might be an inferior kit.

I've heard good things (somewhere) about the kit BMW sells... any pros / cons for various kit vendors?

    tire plug kit?

I was told the BMW kit was almost identical to the Progressive one... I haven't seen the BMW one though.

I also still haven't had to use it. (knock on wood)

    tire plug kit?

Progressive Suspension market a plug kit... 'bout the size of an Altoids tin... includes 3 *special* conical plugs, a tube of *special* vulcanizing cement, a reamer/insertion tool (hehn, hehn), 2 CO2 cartridges & an adapter to hook 'em into your valve stem.

turns out, since stoinky loaned me his plugger, didn't need to either replenish my existing Progressive kit or buy another...

    tire plug kit?

Funny this comes up. I have this aura about me which attracts all things metal & sharp to tires on ALL vehicles we own. After catching ANOTHER one last week in the Soob, I decided to go get me wunna those higher end kits that most mechanics use. It only consists of the reamer, the plugger tool, the cement, some lube, and a shitload of sealing 'string'. Cost is about $20...

    tire plug kit?

That kit sounds good to get you home with a flat on the road but there is no way I would trust a plugged tire to do all of the stupid things I do all summer.

I'm not a big fan of plugs on m/c tires, but I know a lot of peeps that have plenty of miles on 'em. I've put about 1000 miles on one that was plugged, but it was only 'cuz I forgot it was plugged...
