    Tire size question?

I ordered new hoops for my Ape and must have had a brain fart when placing the order. I ended up with a 120/60 front, when the bike calls for a 120/70 front. By the specs, the inflated circumference is about 1" difference between the 2.

First question, what's the handling difference and how will it change it?

Second question, (probably best to call the dealer on this one) it's an RSV4 with APRC and I know things get a little wanky just with simple tire changes...After I reset the APRC system, will it still work properly with a smaller diameter tire?

edit.. I did order a 120/70, just not sure if it'll make it here by Friday or not..which meens I have to put the 120/60 on for the weekend

I think you mean about 1" difference in diameter

I put a 120/60 on a GSXR-750 years ago and tipped into corners much too aggressive for my tastes.

Car tire math doesn't even really work all that well with car tires.

    Re: Tire size question?

Must be Michelin as I think tey are the only brand still making that size?

Anyway, yea, the bike will turn in really well! Might be harsh over bumps, but not likely a problem where we are going. I haven't run one since my EX 500 days...

Its a Pirelli Corsa. So the quicker turn in may not be a bad thing seeing the bike is a bit porky?
So next question is how the APRC reacts, I'll give seacoast a call on that.
    Thanks for the reply

    Re: Tire size question?

I have ran both 120/60s and 120/70s on my SV,

the 120/60s are quicker turn in, twitchy compared to the 120/70, more midcorner corrections cause of the quicker turn in, also less sidewall to protect wheels if you get into any rough stuff

as said by others, quicker turn in. when i was in AZ i had put a 120/60 on the front and a 150 on the rear of my SV because the tracks there are really tight. made a huge difference. i ran that set up for a couple races at NHMS before going back to the 70-160 combo
