Torque wrench foot lbs or inches?

Looking to get a torque wrench to precisely tighten my front and rear wheel and I'm trying to figure out if I should buy a wrench in foots lbs or inches? Also, should I get a light torque wrench for smaller nuts and bolts or in general, do ppl only get large torque wrenches for wheel axels, and engine heads?

You are going to need multiple torque wrenches for the different ranges of torque. Usually your low torque wrench will be in in-lbs and your higher torque wrench will be in ft-lbs. Also remember that these wrenches are only accurate in the meat of their range. When you get towards the upper or lower limits of the wrench the values might not be accurate.

ft-lbs for big bolts nuts like wheels and in-lbs for smaller stuff. There will also be plenty of bolts you can use either. I think most people will find ft-lbs more useful.

Hate to say it again , but harbor frieght has come a long way in the last few yrs , if your not useinf your torque wrench on Daily basis , snap-on is probably an overkill..like killing a mouse with a canon. 1/4 " drive will be in inch lbs for your smaller stuf , and somethings should be tightened to spec. 3/8 & 1/2 " drive are in foot lbs. I have a vary expensive mac 1/2 drive , almost $300.oo. but within the last year HF had sales,& wth coupons I bought all 3 sizes for $9.99 each, all seam to be acurate, tested against my mac and each other , just remember to loosen down to zero when not in use
