tubed SM wheel - implications of flat via nail?

Got back on the Husky after a few weeks building miles on the Ninja. Within 5 minutes, got a nail flat in the rear tire.

I don't think I rode more than 10-30 seconds after the flat, but it was surprisingly difficult to push the sumbitch. It rolled on the flat without me in the seat for over a mile, and with me in the seat for the last tenth or so.

Do I just need a new tube (got some proper reinforced Michelin SM tubes from solomoto) or did rolling the wheel on the flat likely also ruin the tire?

Check the tire inside and out, if you can't spot excess wear, I'd shove a tube back in it and let rip.

    Thanks Kurlon, this helps.

I'm not sure I trust my own eyes to spot "excess wear," but my expectations for dealer service reactions is definitely better calibrated now.

To clarify, if you can't see either a blatant sidewall wear stripe, or lots of rubber dust inside the wheel, or a texture change in a stripe around the inside of the tire, I'd say ride it. If you can see the wear, depending on how much it may still be viable, but I would just get new personally.

Me, I'd replace the tube and call it a day
