    Re: VFR400 Ground-up

I hope to purchase this bike from Scottie when he short sells it in a rush to buy his next Ducati.

Subscribed as I want to see how my bike is coming out.

Sadly Tommy, I don't plan to purchase another *Ducati* anytime soon...

And there's no way Degs' will let me sell this once we're done with it. He'd kill me.

I find this hard to believe since he is such an expert in the polishing of knobs.

When it's done it'll be as much his as it is mine. It will be a staple at BM track days.

Touche.... but nobody helped me build it from the frame up either.

Damn you, I still miss that bike, and now you got me all sentimental.

Can you guys get me a couple measurements? Subframe mount points inside to inside. Top and bottom please.

Looking to put a different subframe on the Hawk and wonder of one of these would work.

Right i want the inside measurement of the subframe mount points.

If it fits i might... Although I was looking at a race frame on Tygaperformance.com http://tyga-performance.com/site/pro...6bbaf1df52c2a7

If that fits the hawk I am buying it but i need to know if the measurements add up.

Just the inspiration I needed. Foggy on an NC-30 versus a 250cc 2-stroker (ridden by Jamie Whitham)... woooot.

How much power did they get out of the 400? I'm surprised it had motor on the 250. Foggy looks back waaay too mucu! He's lucky he won.

    Re: VFR400 Ground-up

Got a link?? I wasn't able to find it. As far as I know, it would be nearly impossible to get 88hp out of a stock-bore NC-30. If you go overbore then yes, the number is attainable.

I'd be very impressed with anything approaching 70 hp on a stock lower end, even with head work.

Guess we'll find out when mine's done

Haaa, well nobody's heard from Mike at G-Force for a while now, I've sent some email inquiries and none yet returned. I don't have the coin for a full on SBK build, but man I'd love to get a hold of a set of those pistons to hold onto for when I do }:-)

I know I can get a solid, reliable 75 HP motor (433cc) built, but again... gotta do a rebuild at least once / year.... I'm not really up for that!

Get 65 out of it and call it a day. That way you will be able to keep up with the Hawks. (You shoulda bought a Hawk anyway )
