    Woodcraft rearset installation

I'm installing new Woodcraft rear sets on my 06 GSX-R750 and have a couple extra parts to deal with on the brake side. Two springs and a brake light switch. One spring used to attach to a peg on the OEM rearset and then to the brake light switch and the other spring was probably for brake pedal return. Do I discard the return spring and is there anything I can do to get my brake light switch functional?

The springs are trash. I suppose you could figure something out for the pedal return spring but its probably not worth the time. As far as getting your brake light working, you can buy a pressure sensitive banjo bolt. basically its a banjo bolt with wire coming off it that you plug into your wiring harness connection. hopefully someone will post a link for you. its out there.

oh btw forgot to mention that i'm not sure if that is the right thread pitch. So double check that before ordering.

I'm all over it Duey, thanks! It's coarse threads on GSX-R600K6, GSX-R600K7, GSX-R750K6, GSX-R750K7 in case anybody wanted to know.

I have been running the woodcraft set-up for a while now on my SV. No troubles with the non-existant return spring and the pressure sensitive brake light switch works perfectly.

Question about this. When wiring up the pressure switch, why the hell did they put a plug on one end and just give you little metal connectors for the other part? Am I missing something?

Just connect the wires however you can, whether youve got to cut a set of connectors off one side or the other.

Way to dig up an old thread...

Anyway, that's because the pressure switches are universal, and all bikes have different plugs, so they just don't bother putting a plug on cause it likely wouldn't plug in anyway.

Not sure if this helps but it is what I did w/my r6. My rear brake light functions perfect and I didn't buy the pressure banjo.

Funny thing about that Eric, I searched on NESR and didn't find what I needed. Hit up Google with the same search, and this was the second organic search result.

Strange enough, the pressure switch from woodcraft comes with a plastic connector plug already attached. It looks like it should hook into my RC Car battery. I guess i'll just hack up the stock switch and take the plug off that bad boy.
