    Wrap a catalytic coverter?

Trying to control the heat coming of the catalytic converter on my bike (2020 Guzzi V85TT), I was thinking of wrapping it, I see that wrappers are sold for that purpose. Has anyone done this? Will wrapping lead to failure?

Usually the heat is not a problem. Except on hot days at a stop and at low speeds it's pretty darned ... hot.

Thinking I will at least wrap the tailpipe from the cat to the muffler.

    TIA

Can't speak for the V85TT, but a lot of people have tried this with the KTM 1x90's and it doesn't really do much of anything, except maybe prolong how long it takes to get hot at a stop.

Thanks. Just wrapping the mid-pipe should help, you can see it on the left side of the bike.

Wrapped. Should help some with the exhaust heat.
