After missing round 1 and 2 and just bumping to white plates last round of 2012 I had a big challenge ahead of me. Went out sat first practice tossed it into the beach in turn 3. I tucked the front after the apex. I suspect a cold tire. Replaced a peg slider and brake lever made 2nd practice but didn't trust the tires so I came in early. Went and bought new set of Pirelli tires. Now confident on new tires I went out for LWGP. I was not last got my times back to where I left off last year. I was pleased
Sunday. I forgot to mention I also installed cams from an 02 and freshened up the forks. Sunday practice got back into some 21's in practice. LWSS I got a bullshit start went into 1 dead last hung with the mid pack finishex last. Formula 40 lights got an ok start got in front of Adam Butler and stayed there for a few laps. I knew he waz coming it was just a matter of when and where waz the question. I was riding real defensive lines as i wasn't giving it up easily he finally got around.
I didn't place great but it was fun and confidence inspiring to get my times down. It was awesome to have fun racing. Tha ks to Steve Heider for some hot laps and some pointers a peg and brake lever. Thanks to www.gomtag.com for the tires. Chucker Boucher for the brake pads. Christian Smutnick for the knee sliders and helmet.
