Just found and read thru this thread. How is your insurance stuff working out? Reason I ask is I bought my policy this year thru Brandon Parrish @ www.ridersurance.com

He sells only "non-racing exempt" health insurance policies. If you are still in that unsure of how this is going down stage.. maybe a converstaion with him would help with some info from the insurance side of things?

Let me know if you need his info.... but its right on his page... including his cell phone. He is a WERA/CCS/ASRA/AMA racer... a good guy and will answer your questions (if you have any)

I have a long term disability policy through Northwestern Mutual which I hope to not have to use. Doesn't appear I will need to as long as I continue to progress at my current rate.

I'm leaning toward leaving the hardware in. I haven't missed a season on ski's in 20+ years and I'll be damned if I miss one due to a measly 16" titanium rod. Granted i doubt I'll be banging moguls or rocking the woods this season but if I can get out a few times with the kids I'll be happy.

Some of you have sent emails/PM's inquiring about bills and such. Truly, we're OK and I appreciate the kind thoughts and offered generosity. If I was still racing cars and spending money like I had my own printing press that'd be one thing but I sold the race car early in 2008 to get involved in motorcycles. Bikes are MUCH cheaper.... at least if you're running slow 1:23's like me then they are.

As Alex pointed out, it's fortunate that this happened at the last event verses the first or I'd be going nuts.
