    Thanks guys.

Preteen, it was a bitch catching you after that unnamed rider stalled in front of me on the launch. You found a lot of fast, quickly. Well done. Glad chasing me helped you a bit too.

    Seth,

Nox, I'm a novice on an EX. What do you expect, 17's? : Thanks man

Thanks all. , where were you? I felt like I really, really need to work on my body positioning. I'm dragging exhaust, peg and boot before my knee, and I'm riding crossed up. It's not a great combination. That's more or less my goal for right now, I think if I can fix my body positioning more speed will come naturally.

Sweet. I feel like 1/1a/2 is where my body positioning is the worst. I'm anxiously awaiting some pics to get uploaded so I can how bad it is and work on fixing it. Crossed up and on the seat is not the place to be. All that said, I am thrilled with the weekend, I had a blast. I'm just looking to improve, as always, and I think that's a major weakness for me right now.

    Re: 319 NV RR

Eh, suppose I may as well throw in a bit more of what happened, although my first post summed up the important parts.

Showed up Friday, was still fighting bike gremlins. Turns out I suck at cleaning carbs, 6 fingers used an entire can of carb cleaner on my carbs and showed me the right way to get it done. Issue seemed cleared up after that, but it took me a while to get back into the groove. I think I'd gotten used to riding with 30% of my power available. Spent the rest of the day running 30's with a couple high 29s.

Sat AM I ran decent practices and set a new PB of 29.1, which didn't feel all that fast at the time. Sat PTwin I took off on from the start and thought I was alone. Nobody was anywhere near my times in practice, little did I know preteen would drop a few seconds between practice and race. I don't recall when I figured out he was behind me, but I'm pretty sure it was when he put a wheel on me, so I went back to work. Looked like I had the win locked, then I hit the apex rumble strip in 3 with my front wheel and almost lost the bike. Wasn't pretty. I managed to save it somehow but Christian got around me on the inside and I didn't reel him back in. Another damn second place finish! (Congrats on your first win dude!).

Sunday I don't even remember what happened in practice. I went into race 11 thinking "Ima win this thing". Green flag flew and I dumped the clutch, only to see the bike in front of me was not moving! I grabbed the clutch again and swung around him, and off I went, now back quite a few places. (sidenote: Why did they grid us on rows 1 & 3 so we were directly behind the only other row on the grid, when they were sending us in different waves? I'd have rather been the row right behind but staggered like normal.) Anyway, I went to work in that race, passing god knows who. Eventually got to the point where an RSP SV & preteen were really the only bikes I saw. Preteen got the SV between us, and I couldn't pass him. Finally stuck a pass on the inside of 3, but I went in too hot and blew it, so he took off back by me. Got Christian on the drive from 12, and came up behind that SV again. Went for the pass into 3 again, this time a bit more conservatively, and made it stick. After that it was just head down and go. I didn't see the 2 other SV's that were checked out in front of us, but they were not in my race so I didn't care. 2 white flags threw me a bit, but I just stayed in it until I saw the checkers for my first win. Turns out I turned a few 27s that lap, destroying my previous PB. Hell yeah. Now I gotta work on my body positioning so the bike drags less hard parts, I drag more knee and the bike slides less. Overall, I'm very happy, and pissed they stopped giving us real trophies since now I'll never have a first place trophy to offset all those goddamn 2nd place ones!
