You're seriously going to build a "GP bike" around traditional, right-side up forks?!
For most applications I'm as sold on inverted forks not being required as the next guy. But this is one place where .. just no.
Do it right.
Now. Back to my life of domestic bliss.
Re: 771 Racing - Brain Download
So, there is more than one reason why I'm currently targeting that front end, there is more to fork choice than length and brake setup. In particular, one thing I see repeated often in the write ups of other F450 is they're chasing front end chatter issues. Lots of potential reasons, one theory is that modern USD short road race forks are too stiff for the comparatively flexy frame of a motocrosser. When the R6 first went USD forks, some didn't like that change as the frame wasn't adjusted to match. If you look at current MotoAmerica Twins, more than one bike out there is running conventional forks despite USD conversions being legal, and well within their budget. I'm awaiting input from one gentleman who's built an F450 before to see if he thinks this make sense as well before making any purchases, and doing more research in the mean time. Some of the data I need to find is fork lengths for different machines over the years which is proving more of a PITA to track down than I would have guessed.

Starter revived, you CAN recover a KTM bendix.

771 Racing - Electric start revived. Had one short setback...
36ish to 38ish in the garage, and once the battery warms up it spins it right over. For those curious about Lithium batteries in cold weather, this is how they behave.

Doesn't everyone rave about conventional SV setups?

TLDR - Can't make spreadsheets exciting.

Watch to the end, no spreadsheets were harmed in the making of this video.

Hahaha well done. That was a nice touch.
