Most of you don't know me as I don't post much and haven't raced since May of last year. I was very nervous coming to my first classic and got here thursday to do a tire change and put new number plates on. I haven't even hoped on my street bike since may of last year so I was a bit skeptical as to how I would do.
LWGP-got 10th I think and got a horrendous start.
GTL-got 10th again, my start again sucked and I hit the rev limiter 4x in the race while I was working to catch up to people. I blew a couple lines late in the race to seal my fate but it was a learning experience.
Race 5 on sat-Race got red flagged, pretty sure I got 9th.
Its good to be back racing again and mixing it up with you guys! Sorry Preteen that I missed ya this weekend and didn't get to say hi but I looked for eck and couldn't find where the rainbow ended..... I didn't want to talk to you anyway as in GTL you spanked me pretty hard with those times you are now running. Best weekend I have ever been to as there was a lot going on. Thanks to the pirelli guys for the free tires I won on Friday!!!!!!!!!! I did set a new PB of 1:23.9 so that was one of my only pluses while racing. It was a pleasure to get passed by Elvis, Tansey, and Oreo. Hopefully I didn't get in your way.
Other notable events were my rear chicken hawk tire warmer stopped working right before GTL which sucked but my pit mates were there to help on the fly.
I don't know why I just noticed this but when I really starting hitting the rev limiter I came in all pissed and thinking that my bike sucked but I do see that I am geared wrong with an SV compared to most guys. I will be switching to a 45 rear and corresponding front for the next event.
When you come to LRRS you meet some real neat people. I was pitted next to a father and son combo from VT that were extremely nice and helpful. Thank you Tyler and Doug and hope to see you guys in July!
Sorry for the long post.......
