I only have accounts of my Sunday ASRA race it is the most vivid at the moment. I apologize now I'm no writer so I hope it reads OK.
Sunday morning entered the ASRA sport bike race. I started from the back in row 5-D. The flag drops and I get an ok start to a 15 lap race, leaving the line just a hair slower than the pack. Into T-1 we all go like cockroaches into a funnel! I decide to hang back a bit and just hold my place until the mad rush into T-1 is over. I hold my place for about 5 laps until I get into my grove and the turns start to feel more fluid.
Flash forward to the 10th lap. I had to fight my way from close to last to 4th place with every turn feeling more and more smooth. As I came out of T-2 in the 10th lap I see Tanner half way into T-3, (time to turn it up). I wound my bike up for everything she had and caught Tanner at the exit of T-6. I stayed Glued to his rear tire thru to T- 12, upon exiting T-12 I slowly reeled him in. Just as we got to the breaking zone of T-1 we came up on lap traffic which held up Tanner enough for me to get next to him thru T-2, as we were coming into T-3 Tanner looked back at me and that's when I made my move and passed him. Now it was time to catch the 2nd place rider (who was insight).
Lap 13 I managed to reel in the 2nd place rider and stuck to him until we came thru T-10 upon exiting T-10 He ( don't know his name or # ) looked back at me and I then knew I had him! I then passed him on the entrance of T-1 and held 2nd place to the flag.
