    AM #325 Race Report

I only have accounts of my Sunday ASRA race it is the most vivid at the moment. I apologize now I'm no writer so I hope it reads OK.

Sunday morning entered the ASRA sport bike race. I started from the back in row 5-D. The flag drops and I get an ok start to a 15 lap race, leaving the line just a hair slower than the pack. Into T-1 we all go like cockroaches into a funnel! I decide to hang back a bit and just hold my place until the mad rush into T-1 is over. I hold my place for about 5 laps until I get into my grove and the turns start to feel more fluid.

Flash forward to the 10th lap. I had to fight my way from close to last to 4th place with every turn feeling more and more smooth. As I came out of T-2 in the 10th lap I see Tanner half way into T-3, (time to turn it up). I wound my bike up for everything she had and caught Tanner at the exit of T-6. I stayed Glued to his rear tire thru to T- 12, upon exiting T-12 I slowly reeled him in. Just as we got to the breaking zone of T-1 we came up on lap traffic which held up Tanner enough for me to get next to him thru T-2, as we were coming into T-3 Tanner looked back at me and that's when I made my move and passed him. Now it was time to catch the 2nd place rider (who was insight).

Lap 13 I managed to reel in the 2nd place rider and stuck to him until we came thru T-10 upon exiting T-10 He ( don't know his name or # ) looked back at me and I then knew I had him! I then passed him on the entrance of T-1 and held 2nd place to the flag.

it was Josh Gallusser that looked back at you when you passed him. Deb says he learned his lesson about looking back.

Hmmm boosh I noticed you conveniently left out discussing the race where you decided to dive into turn 3 like your last name is wood or greenwood and hit me!!!!!!

Just kidding man. I'll upload the race to youtube so you can see it. Definitely just a little light contact and I got you back so it's all good

Congrats on the 18s that's great. The rest of this season is gonna get more and more fun I think!

LOL! You know I meant that he came in with superhuman speed but did not have the wood/greenwood last name to make it through without hitting me and blowing the corner!

I.e. in too hot and ran out of talent :-)

PS he had brake fade so this is all just poking fun... completely unintentional

so you're saying guys named Wood/Greenwood don't get brake fade cause they don't brake, they just bounce off of people? I need to see a demonstration of how to perform this...

ahh that's how you do it. now I know how to get by Boosh if I can catch up to him.

on a serious note, that was a sick move in heavy traffic. glad you both came out of it like nothing happened.

    Re: AM #325 Race Report

It's ok I passed him back on the way into the bowl after the clip ends

He didn't hit me very hard... but if I had been leaned over further it would have been bad news especially because I usually trail the brakes into the apex by the gator strips. I saw him out of the corner of my eye so I didn't chuck it in hard like usual.
