eboos race report LRRS Round 6

Race 8 NV THBK
I didn't run any of the practice sessions due to wet but changing conditions and I didn't want to keep changing my wheels. I was gridded in 2B which I found out that you can't see the flagger from that position. I ended up getting a good start and was third into turn one. Into turn 3 I got passed close on the inside, but I held my line and my speed. Determined to hang with the leaders I went into 6 a bit hot. At the apex my rearend came around on me and I thought for sure I was going to highside. Instead, it bucked a bit when it regained traction and pretty much tore the bike out of my hands. I slid away and the bike stayed upright and rolled pretty far into the infield grass between 5 and 6. I got up completely uninjured, not even a bruse. The bike was unrideable and I need to fix a few things to get it ready for the next round. Nothing expensive, just going to take a bit of my time. I wish I could have seen a picture or a video of that.

that sucks man, at least your ok and they bike will be easy to repair for next round.

Crap, that was you?! I'm going along, see you're in trouble, next thing I know your bike is trying to ghost ride past me?! It had an ok line up the hill... A lil WOT fixed that, but I didn't look closely enough to realize it was your bike. Glad to hear you're ok.

Yeah, but did you have to crash in 6 where my wife was watching her first race? Do you realize how much you set me back in convincing her that what I do is safe???

No problem. I was just really happy to be there. I missed racing. That was my first race weekend since May. Even though I crashed, I was happy with my pace and my placement.
