rd 5 My AM D'ebut #325

had a horrible start due to pre-race jitters. Pretty much at the back of the pack for most of the race doing 24's stuck in traffic. I just couldn't get around the guy in front of me. We battled back and fourth for the first 5 laps. He had a lead on me (about 3 BL) heading up the hill out of t3,I caught him going into t6 and stayed glued to his rear tire all the way thru t9. Coming out of t10 we were side by side (I knew he was going to throw out the anchor thru t11,11A and 12) I said no way am I getting stuck again. Side by side thru t11 and took t11A and t12 I then gave it hell taking off 4sec. making lap 6 my new PB 1.20.449

I apologize to the "other guy" for not knowing his number or name I have no idea who it was. It was a great race.

Another bad start but better than my race 1 start lol much of the same lots of traffic stayed in the 22's 23's. I wasnt last but damn near.

Ok start much the same as Saturday did 23's and 24's on my second lap here come the experts just like Saturdays race but the difference with Sunday is coming out of t2 Eric passed me like I was standing still !!! He then turned around looked at me took his hand OFF of the throttle waved at me ( still pulling away from me just using roll speed ) and was thru t3 and on his way into t6 before I was in t4. That had to be the best part of the weekend...lol

I did go up to Eric and shake his hand for that lesson in humility!

I have to say after that I have a whole new respect and appreciation for all the experts and their accomplishments

Congrats on the new PB!! I always love reading when folks are improving their skills, really no better feeling in the world.

Ok why Eric waved at me.

I was in my garage putting on my boots getting ready for my super twins race (that is right next to Eric's). When I hear " Hey Eric Chris say's if you too switch bike he doesn't think you could beat him" come out of Mike Arbo's mouth. My head snap's up and Eric is looking right at me with a big smile and said (with a chuckle) "Really"? I replied "Eric I DID NOT say that Because I know you can, But if you would like to take my bike I would love to take your bike around the track".
Jumping to the end of the race
I come in to the garage and Mike holds my bike for me so I can dismount I didn't even take my helmet off before I told him about the "fly by waving" Mike let out a pretty good laugh and asked Eric about it and Eric said "I was just being neighborly" everyone got a good laugh
