Need 05-08 gixxer 1k front pads

Here's an odd request; my fathers buddy is looking for a set of pads for his track bike, which is actually a Ducati with 05 gixxer forks and calipers. He has some high end race rotors but that company doesn't make pads for Tokico calipers. He then asked if he sent them an old set of pads, if they could rebuild them so to speak. Absolutely they said, so he called me in hopes that I would have some around...I do not.

So anyone have old pads kicking around for an 05-08 gixxer 1k? Those years all share the same part # on the fiche. I'm not sure if the pads from similar year 600/750s will work, I didn't look too much but I did see differing part numbers.

He really only needs the backing plates, so the condition of the material won't matter. That said, I don't think it matters if they are OEM, EBC...etc.

I'm not sure what they would be worth, aside from postage. So if anyone has a set and wants to go green and recycle, let me know

i have a set off my 02 gixxer 600 that got used for maybe 1k-2k miles

I'm going to guess the pads will have to be 05 to 08 1k pads, the older pads like you have are bolted in with a single pin...the newer ones are two pins.

Even the 05 gixxer 6 pads have a different part number on the fiche (the calipers too), but they are two pins...but that doesn't mean those pads will work in an 1k calipers. wikkit bummuh

DB no worries, I checked the fiche after you mentioned having pads for the 600. Unfortunately they weren't compatible. I did check tho
