Looking for a 7.3TD F250. Price cap is about 10g's. Needs to have the 6 speed standard.

That's a good price. I have a 2000 F250 with the 7.3. Mine is automatic and has just under 200k on it.

So far, mine is holding up well considering the age and mileage.

Curious... Why are you stuck on 6 speed?

Because the autos are known to shit the bed. The 6 speeds are bulletproof.

Plus that means less people will want to borrow it...hah.

hmm... I had never heard that. The only issue I heard is when people "flush" the tranny. I took mine to a transmission shop where the owner has the same truck... he seemed to know every little detail about them.
