    Early 90's Sportbike - Found!!!!

Looking for a early 90's era sport bike for vintage racing. Not having much luck on CL or E-Bay. I'm trying to give someone my money, it's kind of crazy no one calls, texts or e-mails back. Dealing with the CL clientele, I think we all know what I mean?

    90-96 Ducati SS, 750 Monster
    90-98 Yamaha FZR600
    88-90 FZR 400
    86-92 GSXR 750 (oil cooled)
    88-91 Honda CBR600/ Hurricane/ F1
    88-91 Honda Hawk GT/NT 650
    88-91 Kawasaki ZX600/ ZX7

Solid mechanical, running condition - please. Plastics and such not too particular, not looking for a collector or museum piece but preferably everything is there. Anyone looking to thin their "old" herd or long forgotten bike sitting in the corner that will go to a good home, let me know what you have?

Duly noted. There is a couple running Hawks on CL. Trying to get in touch with them to take a look at. Both a little more money but completely stock. Takes a bit to get track worthy. MY preference is the early 90's Ducati's. Tough to find and no one gives them away, unfortunately. Thanks for sending through. I may reach out to this one.

Looked through the WERA site. Some good stuff, I'm willing to travel too for the right bike. Been further for less, for sure, but Florida, Chicago and Kentucky is a little too far for me. An absolute beast 1991 GSXR track bike in FL! Why can't they be even remotely close? And the few I saw locally - SOLD. I'll keep my eye there, too. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, but the 1100 is a little too big for me, or for the track for that matter. Appreciate you sending it along. Besides, has to be 91 and under. Oil-cooled 750's.

It is. I actually think up to 92 is oil cooled. So I am corrected. That is a nice one and I did see it.

You guys are great, but unfortunately too "new" for USCRA. I know. I just sold my 1996 on here that I was hoping to sneak in, but 1991 is cutoff for the CBR. The following years were deemed "too advanced" for vintage racing with them. Imagine?

1984 KAWASAKI NINJA 600R I saw this one and is on my short list for a road trip to look at.

1994 Suzuki Katana 750 Way too heavy and purposely left it off my wish list.

https://worcester.craigslist.org/mcy/5972173361.htmlNo class to fit in. Cut off is really 1990, with the few exceptions I have noted. great bike though.

A real nice bike, too nice to throw down the track. I'm not sure that makes the cutoff either. I believe it is liquid cooled.

GIXXER - I should hire you to help me. It may seem I'm being particular, but I already bought that 96 CBR600 and found out it was not going to do. Don't want to assume they'll change the rules for me again.

    "94 Katana 750? " Too heavy.

    "You can't find an FZR600?!?

I will ship you mine from CA " Believe it or not, not many out here to choose from. But seeing as you're offering, what ya got? LOL.

NESR, recommending shit you didn't ask for since 2001!

And as a former Nighthawk S owner, that first one should be free considering the color scheme

Thanks. No pics is always a red flag. I may call them.

I've been trying to get out to Springfield to see one similar. He sent me a picture, looks decent - then radio silence. Aggravating.

shipping kills the deal...I have a '94 FZR with ~31k miles...I already put in a 95+ R/R and have all the fairings and new EBC clutch

I bought my OG FZR (1995) for $1,000 with 14k on the clock back in 2006 in MA...then rode it 10 years hassle free until something in the transmission went out...can't imagine it went up in value since then

The going rate for a decent FZR around 20K is $1500 now. I have heard the second gear on some years were soft, but not something I'm terribly afraid of. Just not many around. I could get a naked one, but then AirTech plastics with paint set me back $1K+. I'd rather pay a little extra with decent plastics.

Now the motorcycle Gods are laughing at me with a barrage of snow storms. I may have to wait a while to pursue, spring is around the corner? But keep the leads coming everyone.
