Hey guys all my buddies ride and are avid NESR members and I'm looking to join them as I'm finally getting out of school and gonna have the time to ride with them finally... obviously I'm broke as shit due to college loans and an unpaid internship (i know awesome)....

so I've only got roughly 2500-2750 right now and I'm looking for any 600 really, just not an absolute POS lol.

If you guys have anything and want to help a new rider out, let me know.

I loved my Honda 600F3, was my first bike. I am sure those are going quite cheap now. Was enough power for everyday riding by far. Put over 20k on it with no issues at all, was a fun bike!

Your price range may involve some parts purchasing and some elbow grease for more recent machinery.

Are you open to looking at older standard-type bikes? You can scoop up a minty CB700 for that cake.

Or buy a Ninja 250 that is damn near new for those prices, ride it for a year, gain experience, sell it for almost what you paid, and THEN get the bike you dreamed of!
I don't think a new rider should start out on a 600 when a 250 and it's insurance is cheaper.

I second this. F3 was my first bike, and I never regretted it.

my father is selling his 2000 buell X1 for $2500. about comparable with a 600 from the same year as far as performance (bit lower top speed though), but with 1200CCs of american V-twin torque.

deffinatly more unique than just another cookiecutter 600...with the vance and hines exhaust on the v-twin it sounds better to.
