    Cheap North Shore Electroics Guru

    I have a 2000 F150 w/ electrical issues.

(Aftermarket) Stereo dead, previous owner tried to direct wire it and failed
    Power mirrors dont work

I don't care a lot, and can most likely fix it myself. If you're broke and in college, etc. and can make me an offer that beats ripping my dash apart myself, PM me. If you're a shop charging $50/hr+, no offense and it's not that you are not worth it, it's just not what I want here. At that point I'll fix it myself.

Offer stands until I get bored and fix it myself.

Hacked aftermarket unit. Even has a red wire hanging by the drivers feet that at one point, according to the vehicles previous owner, ran the stereo. If I were to go at it myself my first step would be to undo all this hack shit, find the factory harness and start over. There may be better ways but I don't know them.

editL read more carefully and don't know. Would need the tool to remove the aftermarket unit or the patience and sunlight to do it without the tool. Will try the latter tomorrow.

Couple of small Allen wrenches have always worked for me for removing Ford radios....that or some "U" shaped pieces of coat hanger

Not sure what you're dealing with or how much you know about car audio but there are wiring kits for that truck which utilize the factory plugs. Those wiring kits are paired up with the head unit's wire harness and everything is plug-n-play. No other need to tamper with the OEM harness 'cept to plug it in.

The mirror issue could be a few things....like that cracking radio install. LOL

Thanks Paul. I have done a few installs in my day and know how it should work. I also know it wasn't done that way, and have no idea how it was done. I should just rip it apart and see, but I'm busy and it's cold. Waa waah.

Jamie, sweet, and willdo. Thanks bud.
