    Damnnn...

"has its own gas pump and gasoline tank for easy filling of toys..."

That's an entirely different level of luxury....

"Make me a reasonable offer after you see it, I'm motivated to sell..."

I'm a solid abuser of SearchTempest, RVTrader and CampingWorld's listing at the moment.

Josh, I found the perfect RV/motor home for you. This way, when racing season is done, you can still come wheeling with me over the winter. And imagine pulling up at Garage 15 in this thing lol

    YouTube

Jokes aside, it's actually an interesting build. It has a bubba-approved solar setup on the roof, gets a respectable 7 mpg, costs under $50k all-in, and has way more charisma than other silly boxes on wheels of this class.

I got behind a homebuilt RV like that the other day. Most infuriating 15 minutes of my life, from recent memory. The thing struggled to do 10 MPH under the posted limit and spewed piles of black smoke in my face every time there was anything above a 0.5% grade. Noisy. Way over done. Fuuuuck that.
When I finally got to the passing zone I got away from that POS as fast as I could.

Honestly, what are you people, 6?!

I've owned and camped in everything from super light backpacking tents to 36' class A RVs. The older and more experienced I get, and the more I realize that even super expensive RVs suck to spend any considerable amount of time inside, the more it comes down to 2 smart options for all the situations encountered: a tent and/or a stealthy, small, fuel efficient van-ish vehicle (like Paul E D's sprinter).

Everything else is one or more of the following: too big, too fuel thirsty, too leaky, too much hassle to use or set up, too attention getting, too expensive, too shitty in wind or bad roads or bad weather, or too slow.

I think I agree. Somehow got spammed into watching this video on the youtubes : YouTube
Seems like a nicely laid out setup. I'd rock that if it were just me or me +1. That with a 6x10 or even 5x10 enclosed would do nicely for wandering track use, methinks. Keep the tools & bikes in the trailer.

That looks like what I'd expect PK to have for an RV.

    campers or wives??

but that statement seems pretty accurate...one of my tenants has a dodge sprinter that he stores all his tools/tire changer/bikes and he sleeps in it...says he averages above 20-25mpg (vs. the 13-14mpg the rest of us average in a half ton)

@Kurlon - how about the opposite of Paul's idea? Get a half ton silverado/long bed with a cap to store the bike/tools and get the most cozy camper/trailer/living quarters in tow.

That one isn't completely removed from NADA for a change, only mostly optimistic.

Good find. Kurtz shared Flattrack Swap & Shop Public Group | Facebook with me today as well to show the other end of the equation. Oddly the fact that it's a manual is one of the things holding me back on it, I can drive stick, have for years, dunno if I want to do so with a 31' box truck potentially in traffic though.

Another potential candidate: 2005 Fourwinds Funmover 31C | Meyer's RV Superstores

    Re: Fun Mover

FWIW, since I have my DOT medical card, required to drive a commercial vehicle between 10,000-26,000 pounds, sometimes I have to fill in for our drivers if one of them is out. We have a 20’ International box truck with an Eaton 5 speed manual that I drive in and out of Providence, lots of stop and go traffic, tight spaces, etc. The manual isn’t that hard to deal with. It has a heavy clutch and 1st heat is super low, but it’s manageable. Point being, if it’s otherwise spec’d how you like it, I wouldn’t let the manual hold you back.

My fear wouldn't be the manual, it'd be the noisy, uncomfortable cab. No way that thing is comfortable to drive any distances.
How far are you headed in this thing? Do you really want to be in that cab for that period of time?
I'd shell out the extra for something with more creature comforts. Just me.

That's where my mind is wandering to as well, the stick shift being the easiest part of that equation to point out. I'd like to hit up NJ, NYST, VIR, lots of places and my comfort there and back absolutely dictates my tolerance for the travel time required.

    Re: Fun Mover

If purchasing a $5k uhaul vs a $25k fun mover, might I venture there’s $650 left in the budget to outfit it with a nice air ride seat?
