    Cool Gaerne SG12 / Sidi Crossfire 3 / Alpinestar Tech 10 in size 8.5 - 9

    Hey folks,

I just picked up a WR250R and I'm looking for a pair of solid boots for offroading.

Specifically, I'm looking for a pair of the following boots in size 8.5 - 9:
    - Gaerne SG12
    - Sidi Crossfire 3
    - Alpinestar Tech 10

If anyone has a pair that they are selling or know a place where I can find a decent deal, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Not much of a deal there unless I'm missing something?

I posted it because I have found that without "connections" of some sort that will give you a decent discount at your retailer of choice, the pricing at that website is about as good as I've been able to find online. There are occasionally other sites that have closeout specials on older color schemes and left over inventory however they are not typically advertised at any lower price point. Maybe with Black Friday coming up something like Rocky Mountain ATVMC, Motosport or some other online retailer will have a sale you can grab.

I initially bought a set of Crossfire 2’s in my usual size (43) and found them to run really small, I couldn’t wear them.
Then I tried a used set of Astars tech 10’s, I wore them twice and had a helluva hard time with the buckles, got frustrated and ended up using duct tape to keep them closed. Resold them.
Got a barely used set of TCX Comp EVO boots on marketplace that fit well, but haven’t ridden in them yet.

I have a pair of black A* Tech 10, but they are size 10. I know A* sizing is always a little funky, but you’re welcomed to try them out and see how they fit.

Interesting... keep an eye out for me when you're scouring ADVrider and FB marketplace.

My A* SuperTech's are 42 and fit pretty well so I doubt a 44 will work. But thank you for offer!

If color doesn't matter too much to you RMATVMC has two color schemes of SG12 discounted more than others

You pick them up used somewhere or find a good deal online? If online, care to share your final purchase place?

Sort looking/not looking for a pair for myself. Just haven't broken down and dropped the coin yet.

The Gaerne products I have had in the past have all been nothing but good. I wore holes in the right boot of both pairs from kickstarting my old bike a million times. New bike has electric start so hoping my next set of Gaernes don't wind up getting put out to pasture for the same reason. Theoretically I could re-sole the pair I have now but I feel like getting new ones just because.

Received the SG12s last night and they look amazing and quality is top notch. HOWEVER, they do not fit my feet very well as I'm getting a hotspot right above my ankle.
What a bummer - I'll need to offload these now and figure out which boot will fit.

If it's above your ankle where the issue is, that should be able to be corrected by adjusting the boot straps? It took me a while to get a good fit with my SG12s.

Yeah, it's about an inch above my left ankle. I put them on and walked around the house for a bit and the pressure they are exerting at that one point is real bad. Leaves a painful indent on my leg.
Any suggestions on how to adjust them correctly? I'd really love to keep them as they are top notch in appearance and quality.

hmm, bummer ... inside or outside of leg? how tight are the buckles? assume you don't have pants tucked in and that the liner/flap is positioned flat? i have to do a little double tuck of the liner and inner strap when doing the ankle strap so things don't bind up. becomes habit.

I believe the buckle portion with the strap, pull it to a 90 degree angle to the boot, and it should slide in or out.

The pressure point is on the inner side of the leg about 1" above the ankle. Pants are not tucked in and the liner is positioned flat as you describe with the double tuck. I loosened the buckles all the way out to see if that helps. The weird part is that the point of pressure is right were there is cushioning...

Yeah, I did pull those out as far as they go and still experienced the hot spot.
