    GSX-R 600 or R6

    Looking for either one of those bikes with under 10k on them. 2000 or newer.

    Looking to spend under 2500, this will be my first bike and im in college so cost is pretty important

    the 2001+ GSX-R 600 used EFI. I believe it's 2002+ is when Yamaha switched to EFI on the R6

    You'll never use all that power.

    First bike? Start with a Bmx or Honda cub 50.

    Oh, and don't even look at a motorcycle without wearing 2k worth of gear.

    There's really not much difference between the two,but for your budget, you'll be hard pressed to find a good example with under 10k miles.... (ie damn near impossible).

    I'd look at less expensive bikes like an sv650 or something along those lines. It won't be a race replica, but it'll probably be in much better shape w/ less miles than a race rep of the same price..... and likely a better bike for you as well.

    Yammy switched to Fuel injection in 2003
