Looking for CBR600 F4 forks, preferably with upgraded internals

Anyone have some old race forks from an F4? Looking for something fully adjustable that may even have some "magic" in them.

Long shot I know but there are a few of ya who have raced bikes with F4 front ends....

Re: Looknig for CBR600 F3 forks, preferably with upgraded internals

you are not going to get fully adjustable in a f3 stockish fork. f4 were the first years of fully adjustable. f3-41mm f4=43mm

I know what you are doing...

or I would look at a 954 front end......its what all the stunters swap there F4i over too and is mucho better. And I would cross post on the WERA board too...

F4 front end would be desirable, I was just hoping to preserve the stock triples.

Gino, unfortunately this is NOT for a P-89 bike, it's for my newly acquired street bike. GOOD to know F3 is not adjustable, I thought they were...

Re: Looking for CBR600 F4 forks, preferably with upgraded internals

I thought the last year of the F3 was fully adjustable?

Edit: Last year of the F2 potentially had F3 forks... F3 forks from the beginning look to be fully adjustable cartridge units based on parts fiche.

    929RR, 954RR = USD forks

    900RR = conventional forks

My 97 900RR has fully adjustable conventional forks. Might be an alternate route.

What are the diameters? The 400's have 41mm forks.

    F3 had preload and rebound.

Cool, thanks Gino. So F3 officially does me no good over the stock forks.

I meant that looking for a set of 900RR forks, in general, might be an option. Unfortunately, they're 4mm too large. As for my (Annalisa's) 900RR, it has the 17" conversion, but it's not for sale.

Sure looks like a compression adjuster on the bottom of the fork in the parts fiche?

Interesting, don't think I've played with any forks with a dedicated drain like that before. I can't imagine draining them via the bolt and not tearing them open to do a full flush and cleaning before topping off but I guess that's the idea?

Haha. You haven't played with any forks made this millennium then :-). That bolt also holds the cartridge in place at the bottom.

Are we talking about the same bolt? I'm talking about #30 on the parts fiche. Sounds like you're referring to #24, which is present even on my antique damping rod boingers.

    Oh. Yep.

Now I understand. Yeah. That's a dedicated drain.

Are those stock 600RR triples? Do you know the offset by chance?
