    Looking for a mud bike

I'm interested in purchasing a YZ-250 or an RM-250. Early to mid 2000s is best for my purposes and desired budget. Willing to pay for a well maintained machine in good condition.

    Thanks,
    Diz (pronounced diz-zee)

My guess is that is a little outside of my budget but what were you asking for it?

There's nothing that really grabs me as a cheap learner on nedb either. I'll keep my eyes out on the webz for yaz both.

No worries Mark - there's bound to be lot's of toys out there for the riding! Besides, you know me - I'm a little finicky.

The 848 of dirtbikes is probably a 350xcf (or sxf). That's the first thing that comes to mind.

Re: Looking for a mud bike

Check out my Suzuki RMZ 450/490. I take very good care of my stuff and I'd be willing to sell it to an NESR member for a fair price. You can see pics of it in the 'For Sale' section of the NESR forums under my heading 'Dirty Toys'

buy a clean, early-mid 00's YZ125 and just keep scanning CL until you can pick one up for about $1,000-$1,200!

or...buy ANY bike from James, PaulED, or fasteddie

I was thinking that because I'm not a small woman that as long as I control it well, it will grow well with my skills. Am I over simplifying?

I don't REALLY think it's an over simplification. Just don't be surprised when, during the development of said skills, the thing surprises you, you whiskey throttle it, and it either takes off from under you, or hooks up and jumps straight into the air with you still attached and unable to let go. But, as I suspect you will, you are careful, methodical, and take it easy, you'll be just fine. And scared shitless every once in a while.

Except that whiskey throttle plus trees or jumps equals a world of hurt.
