I'm not sure you'll find smoking deals, they seem to have bottomed out at $2k.

I missed out on a very clean 05 one with plow and some other upgrades for $2000 yesterday because I was working.
There was an 01 for $1400 local to me couple days back but I wasn’t 100% sold on it yet.
    $2000ish for a good condition + one I wouldn’t be opposed to.

Do you need/want a plow? I have an 04 Yamaha Kodiak 400 with a moose plow I'm looking to get rid. Its in great condition but does need some TLC, carb cleaning, oil change, battery connections cleaned etc. I'd let it go for $2k as it sits, with the plow.

I have no need/desire for the plow. It just had it. It just seemed like a good deal comparing to what I have been seeing online.
That does sound like what I’d want minus the TLC lol. I hate carb cleaning and carbs.

Yup which makes it extremely tempting. But I really fucking carbs. And honestly I got no time to learn right now. I’m working 55-60 hour weeks and have a 1 year old. But I’m seriously thinking about it.

Pay someone to clean the carb then haha. Would be worth the extra couple dollars for the peace of mind that it was taken care of.

Kodiaks are great machines. I gave mine and my Grizzly to my parents when I moved west. Just be aware the Kodak isn’t going to ride like a sportsman due to the solid rear axle.

The Grizzly 660 is a solid choice too, rides great, plenty of nut and used ones reasonably cheap.

Lol, I spent last weekend fucking with the carbs on my 2001 Sportsman 500 HO. Complete kit with the o rings and jets was only like $20.

Spring compressor comes tomorrow and I can finish replacing all 4 struts without losing any appendages!

I recently gave my 2002 Sportsman 700 to someone.

Never mind the work I put into it during my ownership, the new owner ended up replacing/ updating the entire charging system in order to get it running again.

We have an 01 Sportsman 500 HO and an 05 Grizzly 660 (with ITP mudlites). The mudlites cause some of the issues, but...

-Sportsman is faster, rides better, handles better, low gear is SUPER low. 2wd or 4wd. Runs on reg gas.

-Grizzly is a beast, practically unstoppable, I regularly use it as a skidder to drag full trees out of the woods. Has 2wd, 4wd, and difflock. Even though the sportsman low is much lower, put the grizzly in 4wd, low, diff lock, and drag your house off its foundation. Needs 91 octane.

If Mark is selling a machine
    1. It has been well taken care of.
    2. If there are any issues whatsoever, he will disclose them
    3. He doesn’t fuck around and likes cash, prices his stuff accordingly

Oh trust me this isn’t my first interaction with Mark... I bought a bike that wasn’t even his because he said it was good. Lol

My issue, and the reason I haven't done the needed TLC, is I don't have the free time. That being said, it does run ok, starts every time I needed it, and I still use it once a month or so. I'm second owner, I bought it from my aunt in 2007. If interested, I'll clean it up and you can take a look. PM me your number, I think I still have it in my work phone.

With the ongoing garage project, I needed the extra space. Good luck in your search, I think going into winter will be a better time to buy.

It’s kinda crazy how fast stuff is selling, and the lack of negotiation in price. I put the atv on FB marketplace and it sold within 24 hours for asking price.

FB marketplace has been great. Put a car on there Sunday am at 9:30, it was driving away by 2:00 pm. Helps if you don't ask stupid money and just what it's worth.
