    Triumph Street Triple

Thinking about buying a Street Triple to replace my current ride which is a Yamaha FZ6. I would prefer a 'R' model (think they started post 2008).

Do it. I am brainwashed at this point, but I am convinced it is the best all around bike you could ask for (with a lightweight/sport bias).

Made the same move Snoop. You won't regret it. I always felt the need to mod my FZ6, like something wasn't quite right about it. Bought my ST-R new in 2009 and haven't changed anything since buying it, it's that good right out of the box.

2009 Street owner (standard). Love it. That being said, you do want the R unless you are between 160-180lbs. The R has adjustable suspension, the standard does not. I recently swapped the shock out for a 675R's and put new springs up front. Other than that, it's a blast to ride. Quick, torquey and flickable in the corners.

Ive not owned a Street Triple but some of my good friend have/had one. Great nimble little bike! I highly recommend one! And yes the R if possible.

Found myself wandering around at some bike shops today, one has a leftover 12 ST for a pretty good deal and I was checking out that and a FZ8 leftover as well, both felt much more comfy than other bikes I've sat on recently. They have the newer Triumphs as well, regular and the R, and they are gorgeous.
