Planning on keeping an A/C unit in my new enclosed trailer.
The roof-mount units are super-expensive (~$600 new) and I'm not ready yet to cut a hole in the side of the trailer for a window mount unit (although I've seen that done).
Thought I'd try out a portable A/C unit. Looking for one of the ones that goes on the floor so I can just route the hot air exhaust out of one of the vents in the trailer.
I have a Honda 2,000 watt generator and I'll be running a set of warmers so I want to go with the smallest A/C possible. I heard the rule of thumb is that a 5,000 BTU A/C will consume about 500 watts. I'd put that around 1,500 watts of draw plus ~500 watts to spare for peak draw. I know that's probably not a huge margin, but I'm hoping it will suffice.
Let me know if you have anything that will work.
