I have been seriously entertaining the idea of a 3rd car to pick up commuter duty. My TL is great on gas, the chicks rendezvous not so much. So I want to get something a little bit fun and good millage. Cars on my list are integra, prelude, celica, pulsar, turbo saab, subaru.
Looking to spend 2-3k
Must be a manual
no red cars
no chick cars (ie white on white vw convertibles)
So watcha got?????

Well, it's not on your list but I have a 98 Honda Accord Coupe, 5-speed manual, dk green with spoiler, leather interior, moonroof, CD player, cruise control.... gets about 33-36mpg, 140K miles, plenty of life left in it. Minor Honda rust on rear wheel wells, but still passable in NH. Just got new brakes this afternoon, and a new Evap. Canister purge selenoid (sp?) and will be going for a NH inspection this week.
Looking for $3000, OBRO. This was my mom's car bought brand new in 1997, and she gave it to me in October 2008. I drove it until this past October (2009) when the baby got too big to get in and out of the back seat because of the two doors.
I was actually just about to post a for sale thread, but saw yours first![]()

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Thanks Keira and Rob. What engine is in this car? I know I didn't specifically say accord, but it is a wanted car. Makes me want to kick my own ass though. When I bought my TL (accord) 3 years ago I gave my 97 CL 3.0 premium (accord) to my father so he could use it as a commuter car
I will keep this in my mind. Since I'm waiting to get paid for a job that's already finished. And I really want to get a turbo saab. I owned one before and they are fun cars.

It is the smaller engine - the 2.2 4-banger. Great mileage, and has enough umph to get around, but you won't win a drag race with it.

KAWASAKI RULES WOOOOO!
Stegosaurus/Wishbone (or anyone else), if you want some better pics of anything on the Accord let me know and i will take some this weekend. I am assuming some shots of the engine bay, and a click of the typical honda rust on the one wheel well. But anything else i can get when the sun is out (it is dark when i leave for work, and when i get home).
I also just fixed the 2 things that would not let it pass inspection (brakes and Evap canister vent shut valve), I will go get a sticker on it this weekend (or early next week)
