WTB: CHEAP quad/atv

backyard toy. wont be going crazy on it. Idc how fast it is lol.
just want something that runs and needs no work.
if it has lights on it too great, if not who cares?
want to spend around 600$.

Cheap and running don't go hand in hand too often.

Go 4wd. Don't bother with a 2wd.

Yamaha makes some real nice utility quads, Suzuki too. Anything 300cc's and over will do fine for plowing and general utility use.

Oh, I misunderstood you. Figured since you were a homeowner now, you'd want the ability to plow.

Yamaha Warriors tend to sell pretty cheap for 2wd quads. Not $600 cheap for a working one, but usually in the $1200 range.

EHHHHHH dont waste your time just go buy a CRF50 and do wheelies and jumps and crazy stuff on it (tons of big boy parts to buy and work on it.....plus it will help you with riding at the track too. a quad will just go put put put and no fun...LOLOLOL

lol crf50? might as well buy the YZ250 from here lol. I like the quads I had one when i was younger and it was pretty fun lol. wheelies at 90degrees, ride it one two wheels - one at times lol. hopefully something will come through...

I agree...you can do all you listed on a little dirtbike and its a bit more of a challenge and more fun. Also cheaper and you'll have a pit bike for the track.

You'd be looking for something like my old 300ex...which can be fun to take a girl on or to teach someone to ride, but besides that, its extremely boring. If I didn't have a little brother who rode it, it would already be gone.

My brother would kill me. If my dad would let him get on two wheels I'd replace it in a heart beat, but he doesn't like that idea yet...hell he doesn't like the idea of me being on two wheels.

You can find em for cheap. If you're looking something strictly for goofing off on for $600, I would take a look at a 250x. They are older, like late 80s early 90s, but they are Hondas, 4 strokes, kick start, and wheelie/trail machines (predecessor of the 300ex). Anything for that cheap has its concerns, but the Honda 4-wheelers are rock solid, especially ones with no extras and small power plants.

I used to ride the lengthy trail system behind my house nearly every day when I was younger with my friends. Seriously like 3-4 times a week in the summer. It was an absolute blast when I was 14, and I bet it would be fun now if I upgraded to a 450, but for the money I think the thrills you get on 2 wheels is far better than on 4. Just my opinion.

I think on thursday , not sure what time i'm sure u can call them to see. Coadys towing in lawrence mass next to commonwealth motors is having an auction on 3 snowmobiles and 3 polaris 4 wheelers, i saw the 4 wheelers and 1 is a 500 other a 600 and one is a 330. nice machines but may be 4 wheel drive. Starting bid was 500.00.

That's because it's illegal for anyone under the age of 16 to operate them in Mass. Less availability...
