WTB: Cheapish Helmet

Looking for a cheap helmet to hold me over till i can buy another Arai. Mine was hit in a t12 crash and wont pass tech anymore. Just looking for something that will get me safely through a couple races while i save for another good lid.

I wear a Med in almost everything.

Anyone have something?

HJC is both SNELL and DOT approved, so as long as its less than 5 years old, yes. Many racers use HJC.

Never had a prob in 8yrs racing.....Just checked and helmet's were made in 2003 and snell approved. wife has camera so will get pics up soon;

This is the med and the LG is same color but a slightly diff design.

Has to be 06 or newer manufacture date to pass tech.

In the rulebook: 6.1.7. Polycarbonate helmets are not allowed.

According to the HJC website, the CS-R1, Kawasaki ZXSP, CL-16, CL-SP, and IS-16 all use an "Advanced Polycarbonate Composite shell".

The other HJC helmets use fiberglass or carbon weaves - the FS-10, FS-15, and FS-15 Air all use an "Advanced Fiberglass Composite Shell", the FS-15 Carbon uses a "Carbon Fiber Composite Weave", and the new RPS-10 uses an "Advanced Premium Integrated Matrix fiberglass".
