    WTB: Motorcycle lift for garage

Looking for a motorcycle lift that can be operated without an air compressor. The more portable the better. A couple of years ago, I had the kendon fold up lift and sold it because I didn't need it at the time. If anyone's got one of those that would be ideal but I'm open to other brands as well.

    Please PM.

Harbor Frieght ones can usually be snagged around $400, not exactly the most solid design but easy to snag. The lil motorcycle shop by the Beanstalk on Rt 106 carries Kendons IIRC.

I have the harbor freight. No issues with em, pretty easy to slide around my garage, even with a bike on it. I did get rid of their "chock" and added a normal bike chock, and added a couple tie down points further up the table.

Yeah, but you're in Texas so we can't consider your valid input.

Thanks guys. What's the footprint of the harbor freight unit? Ideally, I'd like to use the table for maintenance when needed and put it away (standing up or folded up in some fashion) to reclaim garage space.

Safe to assume that the kendon is the only model that stows vertically, correct?

I had the HF lift. It worked well and was stable. The table top wasn't the thickest out there but it was sturdy enough for my bikes.

As for storing it... I suppose you could lean it on its side, but it's heavy enough that standing it up on end would have been a bit of work by yourself. It's got wheels under it so it's easy to move around.

Yeah, I don't think youre gonna stand it up very easy. Even on the side the shape would be awkward enough I doubt it would stay up very well. The footprint isn't huge, and honestly, I just store my bike on it, if I don't feel like tying it down, I just through a stand under it on the lift. Doesn't take up anymore room than the bike by itself.

Also, FWIW, I think I paid $220 for my HF lift.

It is Nick, thank you. His/her price is very high though, for a used one.

As Kurlon suggested, I confirmed that Rhoads Motor Sports on Route 106 has them in stock for $680. I will begin setting up my garage in a few weeks and will most likely just pick one of those up from Rhoads.
