    WTB: Gas Grill

Looking to get set up with a gas grill in good shape (i.e. no rotting) while I decide what my long-term grilling needs will be. Hopefully within 1hr drive of Marlborough but will travel. Watcha got?

And before people jump on the charcoal/wood > gas argument... I haven't ruled anything out long-term. Just need something so I don't starve.

WTB: Gas Grill you've seen him! He's so small, eating him would be counter productive.

Buy yourself a Weber Q camping grill. They put off a nice even heat and they're not too expensive.

    I agree.

Or cheap out like I did and go for a Coleman RoadTrip.. which also throws nice heat but isn't nearly as nice.

Or if you really want a big, junky floor stander. I have a stainless home-center model (Charbroil maybe?) that's 3-4 years old and in pretty decent shape. Some rust, but still solid. Grilling grates are in good condition and it will easily heat to ~500-F. One of the plastic wheels broke. But if you aren't moving it much it doesn't matter. Hopefully my house will be ready to list soon and I will need it gone. $20 and its yours.

We use a Coleman Road Trip Excursion a lot camping. I know you're looking for cheap/used, but these things work great. We use an adapter hose with a 20LB. tank so we can keep the disposable tanks for the lanterns...

Although if you like the handles on them, don't cook bacon on it!

You, sir, need a propane tree! Sits on top of a bulk cylinder, I hook up my camp stove, grill, and screw the light into the top. Awesome setup.

    Re: WTB: Gas Grill

I second the Weber Q. We had one in Boston for awhile and since moved it up to New Hampshire. I used to cook on that thing 3-4 days a week and would get a full year out of the tank. It can't be beat when cooking for 1 or 2 people and you can just go buy one today home depot for a good price. If you ever feel the need to update or upgrade, this becomes the perfect track side grill.

I upgraded to a pretty classic Weber from craigslist for $75. It needed a small bit of TLC, but its been excellent. No bells and whistles, way more character than new ones.

    Re: WTB: Gas Grill

I've had cheap grilles, expensive grilles, big grilles (they SUUUUUUCKKKK!!!), small grilles, the Coleman tailgater or whatever they call it (pretty good, still have it) and I'm still jealous of my neighbor's Weber Q

They've been hammering the shit out of that thing on masonry job sites, at home, on fishing or snowboarding trips etc for years. Still looks and works great, and cooks faster and better than anything else. For 229 brand new it's hard to go wrong.

Nope, no interest in that set-up. Which is most likely why I don't have one...

Seriously, too many hoses & shit when you have kids, friends, animals running around. I can assure you, our current set-up is exactly what we need...

Except 229 is not what I want to spend right now.
