    Japanse Radial Calipers

Looking for a set of radial mount calipers from a Japanese bike. So GSXR, R6, ZX. Should be 108mm bolt spacing. Need to be in good shape and working order. Not looking to break the bank as they can be had pretty cheap off ebay would just prefer to buy local.

I've got some gold-colored Tokico calipers that are either from a zx6r or gsxr that I definitely don't need. Prices on ebay are all over the place; seem to start at $40-50+ship and go up from there. Hows $35 sound? Open to an offer if i'm off-base.

I have a set of those off on of one of Pete's old GSXR race bikes. Your price seems more then fair.

I also have a set of stock Brembo monoblocks off a 1098 or 1198 I'd be willing to trade for the right calipers. Got them off ebay and appear to be in good shape. 100mm bolt spacing which is good for my WP forks but not so good now that I'm going in a different direction.

I can't use the monoblocks unfortunately. If you're interested I can get a pic of the calipers tonight.

i've got 04-05 gold GSX-R calipers and (probably) 2 sets of 06-07 charcoal colored GSX-R calipers.
the 06-07 might need a refresh or new seals

If the OP isn't interested in the Brembo's, please pm me a price shipped to 05641. I've got a pair of ZX14 calipers that are in average shape with a new set of EBC-HH pads(still in package) as trade bait if interested. I think I've got a ZX14 master cylinder as well.... Thx

    Re: Japanse Radial Calipers

Mine are Tokicos. I took a closer look last night: one appears to be from a 03-04 zx6r and I think the other from a zx10r. They are nearly identical; however I'm pretty sure the ZX10R calipers has steel pistons whereas the ZX6R is aluminum.

As far ask junk: you're right if it comes to track riding. Folks complained about brake fade with the the 04-07 (I think) ZX10R brakes (also fitted to some GSXR) by Tokico. I don't think there was a definitive answer why; I personally think that something about them makes it harder to bleed out air. I think lots of folks switched to the ZX14R/ZX6R calipers or Nissins.

What kind of shape are they in and how much?

These are going on my Harley. The brakes on those things really suck. I wish I could get it to stop like my motard did but I'm not about to drop a couple thousand on a pair of calipers for a street bike.

Low mileage I think they still have oem pads in em or at worst first change. It came in a box of spares.

50 bucks. I should be able to pass it off to someone racing for this weekend?

Bring them to Peter Kates at the Computrack Garage. I think its 19 in the center garage but its been a while since Ive been up. He will be up there tomorrow through Sunday. If he doesn't like what he sees he may refuse.
