    WTB project bike

Had a friend call me looking for a project bike for him and his son. Looking for an old vfr500 or v65 magna or something similar. This would be rebuild and used to teach his 16 yo to ride so nothing too crazy.

Also no complete basket cases.... Let me know what you have

    TIA

Not sure if he still has it or if it is something your friend might be interested in but there is this.

That would be the right size for sure... But probably out of their price range ... Looking for a couple hundred dollar deal that needs 'love'

That 250 is gone; but keep in mind love costs $!

I have an Interceptor 500. Runs but, I think, the floats are stuck. Gas leaks from carbs when trying to start it. $800

We have an '81 in fairly good condition. The thing about the 750's is that they are fairly desirable with regards to resale value, whether it be for restoration, keep original, or café projects. The post-'78 models saw engine improvements when they moved from the SOHC to DOHC(79hp as opposed to 47 with the SOHC).

I'm aware and agree. I had a '76 cb550k that I built up and then sold. 750 seems to be the one everyone wants.
