    AGV vs Teknic suits

after borrowing a suit for my first track day, (and like most others, becoming hooked on the track, and the suit), i've decided to buy my own. i've decided that the 2 piece would be a smarter choice. i'm also hoping to find something that won't break the bank. AGV and Teknic both seem to have good suits that fit my price range, has anybody worn these, and can tell me about them? or suggest others? thanks.

    Re: AGV vs Teknic suits

I started with a cheap Teknic. Too soft and the armor sucked.

My advice... Go to Wera.com and buy a used suit for cheap!

If Tecknic, go for the mid/high end stuff. The lightening (I think) has done me well.

Heard great things about Fieldsheer...A* is a great choice if you can swing it...the Octane, SG-1, or Stage are all good suits.
Def. Check out the WERA boards though...awesome stuff for sale. It takes awhile to get registered though.

I love my Fieldsheer two piece (Revo). I got it from motoxoutlet.com for around $320 shipped.

I haven't crashed in it, and I hope I never will have to. Based on how it has held up to normal riding I'm confident it will be fine.

    Re: AGV vs Teknic suits

I have AGV gamma jacket and bought AGV sportrider pants that zip up to the jacket making it 2 piece suit. It all held up very nice in my 60-65 mph lowside. Leather did not rip anywhere and is really thick 1.5 mm I think. I just had the seams restitched in a couple spots and using it again.

I own and AGV 2 piece and am very happy with it. great construction for the price, but the back protector is crap. You will definately want a strap on back protector.
