    Landrics

I am not one to stir the pot or start crap on a public forum but need to vent!

Paul my husband got into a motorcycle accident almost a year ago April 25th where a car pulled out infront of him ! Richard called me immediately as he did work on my copper sv before and we decided to use him to repair Paul's bike! Long story short we showed up to get Paul's bike months later and to much dismay the seat cowl cover didn't match the rest of the bike due to a pressure issue and the two other pieces for the cowl were "missing" Rich told me he would have all three pieces mailed out ASAP... Fast forward to august 15th I messaged rich asking when they would be done on 8/22 he responded he would get them out in a day! Well it's now April 23rd almost a year later and with multiple messages I have still yet to receive the three parts so Paul's bike is complete ! Getting frustrated and feeling that this transaction has become unprofessional and this should have been handled in a timely fashion as he was already paid!

Hoping this post gets some response from rich as my other private messages to him haven't! This is not something. I thought I would have to post with being due with our son any day now... It's time. Landrics. Makes things right.

No, Landrics is definitely NOT a Site Sponsor any longer. I'm still waiting to see if he's gonna make good on some major blemishes with the make-over he did on my Corvette, by the way. I'm not happy with how things turned out on my end either. Not happy at all...

Absolutely he does great work, that's why I went with him to match the special edition copper color for our SVs but agreed definitely poor business ethics

I should add that in Rich's defense in my situation he DID offer to repair the blemishes. It's the matter of me making the 4+ hour round trip in a 30-year old vehicle that's held me back...

    He has read all my
Messages and has yet to respond ... Hell at least give me the unfinished pieces and I'll take them some where to be finished if he can't complete the job

    Re: Landrics

I reached out to Rich to do my heavily damaged TLR gas tank when I bought the bike in October 2013. Having seen the quality of his work, the price he quoted me, and the timeframe to completion offered(3-4 weeks) I trusted him with the work. He came to my place to pick up the tank, I gave 50% payment up front and trusted the work would get done.

As the bike was being torn down for the winter getting the tank back right away wasn't a big priority. I'd say it was maybe 8-10 weeks before I started reaching out asking about the progress. Responses of "I'm shooting for next week" to which I would simply reply "ok" and leave it at that. Rinse and repeat a few weeks in a row and the concern started to grow, especially as all other aspects of the bike rebuild were nearing completion. It then reached a point where my inquiries would go unanswered. Frustration mounted and I eventually got to a point where I wanted the tank back, finished or not so that if need be I could source another shop to finish it. Also ended up reaching out to a mutual friend to try to put some pressure on it as well, not sure if it ended up helping or not but all said and done I got the tank back mid March. 5 months later. And while the bodywork piece(dent removal) came out perfect, the lower blue stripes aren't an exact match. Most can't notice it but I can and it still bothers me. Rich offered to take the tank back and blend it but I declined as riding season was just about to get going and I didn't want to be bikeless throughout the summer.

Rich seems like a nice guy and yes, over the time he had my tank had some legitimate bad luck/timing shit happen but the communication and business practice as a whole needs drastic improvement. A 5 month wait for a gas tank repair job is simply unreasonable in my book, especially when originally quoted 3 weeks.

Jackie, I hope you and Paul can get the parts back soon. I wish I could say this was out of the ordinary and it should be squared away soon, based on my experience and the experiences I've heard from others it's really a crap shoot. Best of luck.

He's probably hanging out with his boy ray ray. A friend and nesr member had an outrageously horrible experience with landrics that might chime in. It's not my business to tell the story but needless to say I would suggest everyone to stay away, did he stop taking your calls as well Jackie and ignoring you entirely?

Thanks ugh and yes I'm sorry things not matching is a pet peeve and wow 5mo turn around can't say it surprises me I mean I'm sitting on almost a year for a fricken rear seat cowl ! And the two small parts it clicks into! It definitely is a crap shoot and definitely disappoints me! People on this forum know the history behind Paul's and my twin copper SVs (how we met ) and I would have never trusted him if I knew this was going to be the case! Yes I know he has had some bad luck and moved shops 3. Times but no excuse!

Jacky. My sincerest apologies for the delay in responding. Truth be I read your message and my attention was pulled away before I could respond. I will absolutely get your parts finished and brought to you as soon as possible. Over the past year or so I have been plagued by shitty employees, landlords, multiple moves and a slew of other issues beyond my control which has absolutely accounted for my lapse in communications with clients. I can say undoubtedly that things have chanhed for the better as of the last couple months and will progress in a way for which I hope to build back the satisfactory reputation I once had. One thing I can say is that although my communication may have lapsed Never (I hope johnnyV and others can attest to this) has my quality taken a back seat. I completely respect your positions on this matter. I can give my sob story of life but truth be told. My problems should Never have becaome my clients problems. So I sincerely apologize. And in my absolute defense.. NEVER should I be put in the same sentence as RayRay... ive not once screwed anyone. I may take a bit longer.. but ALWAYS ive come through with quality unsurpassed.

Does he do good work? Yes, but the timeline is unacceptable. Moved shops, lost help, broken equipment, new appartment, etc etc etc. Just because life happens does not give you an excuse every week to why already paid in full work isn't finished yet. My brother finally received his tail piece back after I gave Landrics all the parts in August of last year. It did look very nice, but c'mon man.

It is good quality, just get your projects done on time and make realistic deadlines.

In all fairness, the words "I'm really sorry but I can't take your business right now because thing are insane" are incredibly difficult to pronounce when English is your 1st language.

You are very right. I have a tendency to take on more than I should based on the promise of good employees etc etc. A character flaw in the least. But my intent is NEVER that of upsetting anyone. Its something I definitely have to work on.
